Fix Panasonic Viera TV Won’t Play ISO Files via USB Issues

In this article, you will get the method to fix the Panasonic Viera TV can not play the iso files from Blu-ray or DVD disc via USB.

Backup the Blu-ray or DVD movie as the ISO files, on one hand, you can store them on your large storages such as NAS, media server, hard drive, even the HDD drive of your PC, on the other hand, the backed up ISO files can retain the original quality of the movies as like DVD and Blu-ray. However, you will failed to play those ISO files on your Panasonic Viera TV via USB. Then, how to fix this issues, or how to make the ISO files backed up from DVD or Blu-ray disc playable on Panasonic Viera TV via USB?

Panasonic Viera TV supported file formats

Before going any further, you shoule be clear of what file formats can be played on Panasonic Viera TV. To get that information, you can check the user manual what file types video format can be recognized by the TV model. Generally, most of the Panasonic Viera TV support MPEG-4(H.264), AVI, MKV format, here MPEG-4(H.264) is high recommended, the most common video format.

What’s worthy mentioning here is that some of Panasonic Viera TV may have extra requirements on the resolution for the playable file formats, it may only play certain files at a specific resolution or within a particular range of resolutions.

The ISO image file is obviously not included in Viera TV supported format list, here, you will need a reliable ISO Converter, such as Brorsoft DVD Ripper or Brorsoft Blu-ray Ripper to convert ISO to Viera TV supported playback formats, and then adjust the output playback settings such as video codec, bit rate, frame rate, resolution and audio codec, bit rate, sample rate and channels to make them adapt with your Panasonic Viera TV. For those people who doesn’t have any video background, you can directly use the program to output Panasonic TV preset profile formats with the optimal playback settings.

Note: Blu-ray Riper enable you load iso from Blu-ray disc as well as DVD disc, while DVD Ripper only work with DVD ISO files.

Step 1. Load Blu-ray ISO file

Just click disc button to import ISO files to this program. Or simply drag & drop your ISO files to Blu-ray Ripper.


Step 2. Select the output format

Click the drop down box of “Format”, through which it is possible to select MP4 formart from “Common Video” profile list.


From “Format” bar drop-down list, directly output Panasonic Viera TV preset profile formats “Panasonic TV(*.mp4)” from “TVs” drop-down list.


Tip 1: If you need, you can also click “Settings” to modify parameters of your output profile to meet your professional needs: bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, etc(according to your TV manual).

Tip 2: If you want to edit your videos, you can just hit the “Edit” to crop the black bar to make a full screen, apply special effects to the video, set the brightness, contrast and saturation, and add image or text watermark to your videos, etc. as you like.


Step 3. Start to convert ISO files to MP4

After all these have been prepared, simply click the “Convert” button to begin the ISO to MP4 conversion. Then you can find your MP4 files by clicking the “Open” button. Then you can transfer the ripped MP4 files or “preset” Viera TV compatible movies to USB drive, it should be playable on your Panasonic Viera TV.
